TRINITY COUNTY will continue to use the following rules and procedures to comply with its responsibility under the INDIGENT HEALTH CARE TREATMENT ACT.  

Notice is hereby published according to the Indigent Health Care and Treatment Act passed by the 59th Texas Legislature, which establishes standards for local government support for medically indigent persons. The Trinity County Indigent Health Care Program provides help to non-hospital district residents in Trinity County. The Indigent Health Care Program serves only those eligible county residents who are ineligible for health care services from federal or state assistance programs. You may make an inquiry of Trinity County’s responsibilities to an Indigent Individual by calling (936) 642-1736 or obtain the information in person at the following address:

Prescreening must be obtained prior to an appointment to see the caseworker. Caseworker is seen by appointment ONLY.  You may obtain a prescreening during the hours of operation listed below. All services are first come first serve.
